Kardj Előzmény: #168886Continuing with [CHANC DARLING], he says the govt will defer an increase in Corporation tax for smaller companies, which was touted to be raised to 22% from 21% next April. Given fragile economic conditions the Chanc adds he will extend by 6 months the govt's mortgage interest scheme and guarantee under-24 year olds either work/training after 6 months on the dole as he warns that unemployment will keep on rising even with the return of growth. Little consolation to the jobless but Darling suggests unemployment has increased much less that expected in the current downturn relative to previous recession. The govt will raise the State pension by 2.5% in April and also raise child, and some disability, benefits by 1.5%. 12:47 GMT - [GILTS ROCKING ON DARLING] as the 10-yr benchmark in embryonic PBR flow takes a turn for the worse on his initial remarks (see 12:38GMT update) though they have not really touched upon key deficit reduction details yet. UK paper has just posted a fresh session low of 116.43 (-53 ticks on the day) from about 116.70 prior with many of Darling's trump cards already played? (touted by media - NI hike, bank bonus windfall tax). However, there are still a few likely joker-in-the-packs to be cast, or even ace cards up his sleeve. Meanwhile, the [SHORT STG STRIP] has also shed a few ticks to -1 to -2 ticks. (earlier 4 tick range, 2 in front, 8 beyond). The [FTSE] in comparison is very steady, last 5235 (+0.2% vs -0.6% at one stage). [CABLE], also virtually unchanged at 1.6320, Eur/Gbp 0.9025.
