[MORE FROM RICHMOND FED'S LACKER] Lacker's speech has ended, and he is not speaking on a panel. Lacker calls the fiscal deficit an immense challenge and says that the Fed won't allow inflation to increase to solve the deficit problem and that it won't monetize the debt. Lacker argues that health care reform won't be a major factor for growth, though it may increase labor costs slightly.
