New Jersey bill opens the door for Tesla Motors

The state assembly in New Jersey passes a bill which sets the stage for Tesla Motors (TSLA) to sell vehicles directly to consumers.

The bill will move to the New Jersey Senate for approval.

The EV automaker's progress in the state has been in limbo since April.

TSLA -0.4% premarket after a 8.8% gain yesterday off of more news of charging network collaboration.
