The [POUND] has been an outsize loser in early Europe. It has been an opening hour or so of madness and Gbp has lost out against the Jpy, Usd and Euro. Russian accounts have purportedly been Gbp/Jpy sellers, while a UK clearer has been a Eur/Gbp buyer, with stops tripped on the 0.9065/70 breach. Apart from those flows, it is pretty difficult to gauge why Gbp is so unwanted at the start of the day. We suspect current levels of QE could get some airplay, but contacts are already talking of very thin and wild trade. Keep positions light and flexible. Next stops through 1.6565/70 and 1.6550, we are told, and in the cross through 0.9100 and 0.9120/25.
