Governor Rick Snyder of Michigan signed House Bill 5606 which will limit the ability of Tesla Motors (TSLA +1.6%) to sell outside of the traditional dealership network in the state.

Earlier in the day, General Motors stepped into the fray to urge the governor to enact the bill.
